mynzhome was founded by Peter Matthews.

After a varied career spanning radio copywriting and production, music, hospitality, horticulture, and software development, Peter became licensed as a real estate salesperson in 2019.

Since then, he has worked across:

  • Rapidly rising markets and sharply cooling ones
  • Campaigns that sold immediately and those that required patience, structure, and careful negotiation

That experience reinforced a simple truth: markets change, but fundamentals don’t.

The post-2020 property boom was a defining period for the industry.

In 2024, Peter stepped back from work after a life‑changing health issue.

That period brought an unexpected clarity:

That perspective strongly influenced the final shape of mynzhome — a business designed to be efficient, honest, and respectful of everyone’s time.

How we work

We charge a flat fee of $10,000 including GST and marketing:

  • $1,500 is paid upfront to cover marketing costs
  • $8,500 is paid on successful settlement

This structure provides certainty from the outset and typically represents a saving of more than 50% compared with traditional commission-based models.
